PayPal Tracking Sync for Shopify
PayPal holds your money when it can't see that an order shipped. Bulk Fulfill pushes each shipped order's tracking number and carrier to PayPal automatically — so funds clear sooner and “item not received” disputes get harder to win against you.
PayPal can't see your Shopify tracking
Shopify and PayPal don't share fulfillment data on their own. Unless something puts tracking into the PayPal transaction, every order you ship looks unshipped to PayPal's risk system.
Money sits in reserve
- Payments stay on hold until PayPal sees delivery confirmation
- Rolling reserves grow as volume grows
- “Item not received” claims are hard to contest without tracking on the transaction
- Someone pastes tracking numbers into PayPal by hand, order by order
Tracking lands on the transaction
- Every shipped order's tracking reaches PayPal without anyone touching it
- Shipment data is on file when a claim is opened
- Orders qualify for PayPal Seller Protection consideration
- A per-order log shows what synced, what was skipped, and why
Connect once, then forget it
Connect PayPal
Authorize your PayPal account from inside the Shopify admin. No API keys to copy, no separate dashboard to log into.
Fulfill as usual
Ship orders however you already do — a CSV upload, your 3PL feed, or Shopify's own fulfillment screen. Nothing about your routine changes.
Tracking syncs itself
Bulk Fulfill scans shipped orders on a schedule and pushes tracking to the matching PayPal transaction. You can also push manually or dry-run first.
Built for people who don't want to babysit it
Automatic background sync
Set it once and it runs on a schedule. New shipments get picked up without you opening the app.
Carrier sent with every tracking number
Each sync carries the order's shipping carrier alongside the tracking number, so PayPal can follow the shipment rather than storing a bare code.
Dry run before you commit
Preview exactly which orders would sync and which would be skipped, before anything is written to PayPal.
Per-order audit log
Every order is recorded as synced, skipped, or failed — with the reason attached, so a missing sync is never a mystery.
Manual push when you want it
Need a specific batch in PayPal right now? Trigger a sync yourself instead of waiting for the next scheduled run.
Bulk fulfillment in the same app
The app that syncs your tracking also uploads it — fulfill hundreds of orders from one CSV, and PayPal sync picks them up automatically.

PayPal tracking, answered
Does syncing tracking release my PayPal funds?
It gives PayPal the shipment information their risk system looks for, which is what typically lifts a hold. PayPal decides when funds release — no app controls that. What tracking sync does is make sure the decision is made with your shipment data present instead of missing.
Which carrier does it send to PayPal?
The carrier recorded on the Shopify fulfillment is sent along with the tracking number, so PayPal can follow the shipment rather than storing an unattributed code. If an order ships in several parcels with different carriers, each tracking number is sent with its own carrier.
Can it sync orders I fulfilled before installing?
Sync applies to orders that are shipped and still have a matching PayPal transaction available. Very old orders may fall outside the window PayPal accepts tracking updates for.
What happens to orders not paid through PayPal?
They're skipped and logged as such. Only orders with a PayPal transaction are eligible, so a card or Shop Pay order will show as skipped rather than failed.
Do I need a separate PayPal tracking app?
No. PayPal sync is a feature of Bulk Fulfill CSV, so the same app handles bulk fulfillment, tracking upload, and PayPal sync. That's one install and one subscription instead of two.
Is my PayPal connection secure?
You authorize PayPal through their own OAuth screen — Bulk Fulfill never sees or stores your PayPal password. You can revoke the connection from PayPal or from the app at any time.
How often does the automatic sync run?
It runs on a recurring schedule in the background, so newly shipped orders are picked up without you opening the app. You can also trigger a sync manually whenever you want a batch pushed immediately.
